Week I

My first week of 236 wasn't so bad. Whole materials up to today seemed to be quite similar to the one we have done in CSC165 class. Especially PSI, the principle of simple induction. In the first lecture I did not fully understand what Danny said, but slowly I felt I was getting used to it. There was something that surprised me - The structure of proof. I remember Danny was strict in writing structures, but here he freely demonstrated and explained on the tablet which is good thing for us, I think. The first problem set is posted. I will start as soon as I am ready. It does not look hard, but the questions seem to be good for us to review lecture notes and refresh my brain also. The good thing to start those assignments is "READING TEXT BOOK" and "VISITING TAs". (not only TAs from Heap, but I mean also general TA's office hour during week days from 4pm to 6) Those were very helpful as I used last year.
