Week V

Overall, the first mid term test was not too bad but not too good. I expected an easy test. I prepared this test since four days before : read test book, rewrite proves from the lecture, and memorize some of structure, but still felt not well-prepared. The questions were not too difficult to solve, all of the questions seemed to be fair enough, but during the test, I could not remember anything because I think I was too nervous. I remember the only my problem was to distinguish between PSI and PCI because I still sometimes do not know which one requires what. That little thing took most of my time. I had all my answers and proof structures in my head but was hard to take it out and write them. So what I did was that I wrote answers in words instead of full proof structure. Other than that, I just wrote all the basic structures I knew and tried my best in order to get partial marks :)

This week lecture was very confusing and felt concepts are getting harder. I am now a bit clear on the unwinding and the closed-form. Since I am very weak on the binary tree, whenever I see something that related to binary tree, I feel horrible. Luckily, the lecture was not all about the binary tree. I will read about this lecture as soon as possible and get prepared for the next problem set.
